The movements are dedicated respectively to Noa Burke, a wonderful and inspiring religious school teacher, Angela Viscuso, a dear friend, and Jade Maxfield, whom I met very briefly and then lost contact with. The last movement, also the first written, won the 2005 New England Piano Teachers' Association Alice Proctor Composition Award.
